Styled Photoshoot with Tea Marie Photography

This extremely gorgeous couple were not able to get beautiful pictures on their wedding day. So two months later, we got together and had an amazing shoot! We were lucky enough to be able to have the most gorgeous cactus bouquet designed by Mandy of The Potted Pansy.

When talking to the bride she decided to let us just take charge of what style bouquet to do. This Arizona bride NEEDED a cactus bouquet. And colors. And goodness, did Mandy deliver!!! This bouquet is seriously just to die for! It's so amazing when a couple can just trust you to pick what will compliment them the most. Just stunning.

We were also lucky to shoot at Cactus and Tropicals in Draper before moving on to the Draper Temple! Such a wonderful couple to work with and love how their images turned out! I hope they enjoy having these images on their wall!

Canoe Shoot

As a photographer your mind tends to go a little nutty with ideas for sessions. Nothing feels better than what you have in mind turns out even better than you could have ever imagined!

I put this shoot together with Haven Wood Rentals and when we starting talking about using a canoe it just gave me all the giggles inside! This session could not have turned out any better. It has the perfect organic feel we were looking for and I just can’t wait to work more with Katie!

The Loft Shoot

I got to participate on an INCREDIBLE styled shoot put together by Nhiya Kaye Photography and boy am I glad I did! She put together the most gorgeous shoot. It had some amazing vendors and I could not be happier with the images I took. Hope you get some great inspiration from these wonderful photos!

Harry Potter Themed Wedding

Camille and Tristan Kippen: Harry Potter Themed Wedding

We are both Harry Potter fans and the inspiration came from Pinterest. We took the test through Pottermore online and both got sorted into Ravenclaw. We decided to use the house colors of Navy and Bronze into our theme along with Silver and Champagne. We worked with several local businesses to help make our vision possible.

Our venue was the Ben Lomand Suites in downtown Ogden and we worked with their Event Coordinator Kristal Blesset. She was extremely flexible and fun to work with and put us at ease throughout the whole process. We chose the Sunlit room for both our ceremony and reception because it resembled the Great Hall in Hogwarts and had beautiful detailing.

We just received our wedding photos back from Emily Bourne at Natural Bourne Photography who also did our engagements. Her quality of work, creativity, enthusiasm and personality were all excellent and were really shown through the final product. She brought her own magic to the entire experience and never held back to get the perfect shot. Her quality of work far surpassed her pricing and we would definitely recommend her for future events.

Catering was provided by Passion Flour in Salt Lake City by the owner Jessica Davies. We chose this because it is all vegan and the French pastries tied in with the theme very well. The cake turned out gorgeous and tasted amazing. Jessica was wonderful and put in a lot of beautiful work and detailing in everything that she made. Everyone commented about how good the food was and was surprised that it was all vegan.

Most of the décor was handmade by us and family members. We found potion labels on Amazon for the bottles and modge podged scrapbook paper on old books to give it a fun and classy look. We collected owls and candles and used our Harry Potter collection to tie everything in. We also had a unity ceremony and customized the Vase through Things Remembered online. Everyone and everything involved made the day of the wedding a Night to Remember. We couldn’t have asked for anything more on our wedding day.

Inspiration: Videography

By, Lauren Michels from Lauren Michels Productions

Videography has become my passion in life.  I love what I do because it allows me to re-live over and over again one of the most special days of my life, my wedding day. I love experiencing and capturing through film the different styles, locations, and people of each wedding.  The atmosphere at each wedding is so beautiful unique.  What can I say?  I Love LOVE!

Posted below are clips highlighting three of my favorite weddings:

The Fun Couple

Erin and Adam had a traditional Catholic wedding at the beautiful venue of Louland Falls.  This couple LOVES to have a good time so naturally dancing was the main focus; they basically never left the dance floor.  I love filming weddings with a lot of dancing involved because that’s when you get to see everyone’s true personality.

The Romantic Couple

Karli and Kai’s wedding was held at a small-town ranch in rural Idaho.  This was one of the most breathtaking locations I’ve ever filmed at.  Karli actually grew up in this ranch house and always knew she wanted to get married in her own backyard.  Karli and Kai are such a romantic couple and their wedding location, ceremony and decorations perfectly reflected that

.The Family-Oriented Couple

Kjarinda and Jon were married in the Salt Lake Temple.  Although the Salt Lake Temple is a popular location for weddings, I’m constantly finding new places to shoot around Temple Square.  Kjarinda and Jon are all about family so their wedding video is full of grandparents, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins just having a good time.  Filming the interactions between family members and the new bride and groom is always a special moment.

This shoot was by far one of my favorite shoots, because what bride doesn't want their bridals done in an amazingly beautiful orchard?! Kat was the perfect bride for this shoot! I'm sure you can tell in some photos, but it was POURING rain the entire time that we were shooting in the orchard. What a trooper, right? Luckily, we stopped on some cute steps in Bountiful. The rain started about 30 seconds after we started shooting.. The good news is that her makeup looked amazing, even through the pouring rain! I was so thankful to have Ecoflowers, because they aren't fresh flowers (they're wood!), they held up through the rain as well!

Be sure click the names to check out all of the vendors pages and give them a like and a share!
